**Position Overview**:
Join our vibrant team this summer as a Special Event Assistant This exciting opportunity allows you to play a key role in organizing and facilitating memorable experiences for children and families in our community. Work closely with our dedicated volunteers and contribute to the success of our events.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist in the planning and execution of activities and attractions families.

Work closely with volunteers to ensure smooth event operations and provide support as needed.

Help coordinate logistics such as vendor arrangements, equipment setup, and signage.

Contribute creative ideas to enhance the events offerings and appeal to our target audience.

Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and communication with stakeholders.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

**Qualifications**:
Related post-secondary education preferred.

Knowledge of the non-profit sector an asset

Enthusiasm for working with children and families in an event setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers and team members.

Organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure seamless event coordination.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Creativity and resourcefulness to contribute innovative ideas to enhance the event experience.

Previous experience in event planning, customer service, or working with children is an asset but not required.

Must be a student returning to post-secondary education in the fall.

Canadian citizenship and age between 15-30 years.

**How to Apply**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
