**Resource Person: Casual Part Time**

**Overview**:
Crisis Centre North Bay is looking for energetic, independent professionals with strong leadership qualities to work in our Housing and Homelessness Programs on a casual part-time basis. The Housing and Homelessness Programs provide accommodation as well as referrals and wrap around services from community partners to promote housing stability and wellness for individuals and families who are experiencing short term or chronic homelessness and/ or fleeing a domestic violence situation. These programs consist of all shelter services of Crisis Centre North Bay which includes the Four Elms Residence, the Northern Pines Low Barrier Shelter and the Northern Pines Transitional Housing Units.

**Hours of Operation**:
The Housing and Homelessness Programs operate 24 hours per day 7 days a week. As a Resource Person, you could be required to work up to 40 hours per week on a rotational shift schedule that includes days, evenings and overnight shifts.

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant social service field
- Residential experience working with persons who may be living with mental health and addictions challenges who are experiencing homelessness or in a DV shelter considered an asset.
- Exemplary emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and in written format
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which can be physically demanding
- Knowledge of community resources related to housing, mental health and addictions and financial resources and supports
- Excellent judgement, problem solving skills and strong decision-making ability
- Ability to establish, support and motivate goal setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to form and maintain strong professional relationships
- Crisis prevention and intervention experience and skills considered an asset
- Suicide intervention training considered an asset
- Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check

Le Centre de crise de North Bay cherche un professionnel énergique et indépendant doté de solides qualités de leadership, qui pourra œuvrer dans le cadre de nos Programmes de logement et contre l’itinérance à temps partiel, occasionnellement. Les Programmes de logement et contre l’itinérance offrent un logement et un aiguillage vers des services complets et des partenaires en milieu communautaire afin de favoriser le logement stable et le bien-être des personnes et des familles qui vivent une situation d’itinérance à court ou à long terme et / ou qui fuient une situation de violence conjugale. Ces programmes comprennent tous les services d’hébergement du Centre de crise de North Bay, qui incluent la Résidence Four Elms, le Northern Pines Low Barrier Shelter et les Unités de logement transitionnel Northern Pines.

**Heures d’ouverture**:
Les Programmes de logement et contre l’itinérance sont opérationnels 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7. À titre de personne-ressource, vous pourriez être appelé(e) à travailler 40 heures par semaine, par rotation, en suivant un horaire qui comprend des quarts de jour, de soir, de fin de semaine et de nuit.

**Qualités requises**:

- Diplôme d’études collégiales ou grade universitaire dans un domaine qui traite des services sociaux pertinents.
- Expérience de travail en milieu résidentiel avec des personnes qui peuvent être aux prises avec des problèmes de santé mentale et de dépendances, qui sont sans domicile ou qui fuient une situation de violence conjugale.
- Intelligence émotionnelle et habiletés interpersonnelles exemplaires.
- Excellentes aptitudes à communiquer, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
- Capacité à œuvrer dans un milieu où le travail s’effectue rapidement, ce qui peut être exigeant sur le plan physique.
- Connaissance des ressources communautaires qui concernent le logement, la santé mentale et les dépendances et qui offrent des ressources et du soutien financiers.
- Jugement sûr, habiletés en résolution de problèmes et solides capacités de prise de décisions.
- Capacité à établir et à soutenir des objectifs et à assurer la motivation requise pour les atteindre.
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome et à faire partie d’une équipe.
- Capacité à établir et à entretenir de solides relations professionnelles.
- Les habiletés en prévention et intervention en cas de crise sont un atout.
