An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sourcing Supervisor to join our Global Strategic Sourcing Services (GSSS) team in Toronto. GSSS is the Indirect Procurement group within the McDonald’s Global Supply Chain business.

You will ensure the supply of products to our restaurants while providing low-cost best value to our System, the safety and quality of our products, support to the Franchisees and restaurants in achieving their goals and increasing cash flows, as well as supplier alignment with our Corporate goals.

Key stakeholders include; Global Design and Development team (as well as market Restaurant Development teams), Senior Management on the Global and Canadian Supply Chain teams, Franchisees, Suppliers, Restaurant teams, and other departments.

**Strategic Sourcing and Category Management**
- Managing assigned categories and associated supplier relationships
- Directing and assuring supply of indirect categories on a National and Global basis
- Accountable for category Total Cost of Ownership
- Ensures category contingency plans are in place and executed as required
- Oversees and directs category risk management strategy execution.
- Protects the Brand by ensuring the compliance of our products.
- Strategic global category support, delivering value to the market (savings, innovation, best practice, tools, etc)

**Business and Supplier Relationships Management**
- Manages the development of suppliers to ensure they are positioned to grow with us
- Supports and directs suppliers to achieve Competitive advantage goals
- Validates supplier competitiveness through external benchmarking (Competitive Validation)
- Recommends the approval and disapproval of suppliers as necessary
- Establishes the performance and measurement systems for supplier efficiencies (PMR/SPI, Reward for performance, facilitates supplier business reviews)

**People Development**
- Makes an ongoing effort to continuously improving his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
- Respects and values the opinions of others
- Demonstrates and reinforces the leadership behaviors and people practices necessary to gain commitment from Senior SCM Management, Franchisees, and suppliers.
- Demonstrable experience within Supply Chain / Purchasing experience with extensive knowledge of supply chain principles including procurement and logistics.
- _ Degree Education in a related field would be advantageous._
- _ Strong merchandising background will also be considered._
- Exceptional vendor relationship management skills
- Strong research and analytical capabilities including financial analysis competencies - makes good decisions based on Data.
- Comfortable working in a complex, global matrixed organization

**Good to Know**:
This role will operate on a hybrid basis 3 days at the Toronto office & 2 days at home.
