**About the opportunity**:
The Process Optimization Student’s purpose is to assist in developing, configuring and optimizing industrial and/or equipment processes related to natural cheese cutting and packaging or process cheese production. The student works closely with the Production and maintenance Manager, production and maintenance supervisors and teams, as well as other departments such as quality if required. Optimization projects may include equipment and process center-lining, maintenance PM program optimization, cost reduction or efficiency CI projects.

**The attributes we are looking for**:

- Work closely with leadership team, multifunctional teams or members of other departments, salary or hourly to help in optimizing processing procedures.
- Responsible to document adequately project, procedures or OPLs generated from the project
- Communicate and train processes or procedures to hourly or salary personnel if required to sustain the new implementations or improvements.
- Track progress adequately of the required actions and provide updates and feedback to manager.
- Streamline and document cheese powder process to create more efficiencies. Develop optimization sequences for the processing department.

- Good knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets
- Understanding of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) is an asset
- Basic understanding of processing procedures
- Manufacturing experience is an asset
- Process improvement focused
- Proven attention to details but also able to see the big picture
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Good communicator, listener and presenter
- Ability to adapt to changing culture/environments
