- Viking CIP Ltd is an Alberta-based company that provides on-site mobile heat exchanger cleaning and vacuum truck services to major Oil & Gas Corporations, Municipal customers, and the manufacturing sector. Viking has expanded its operations, facility, and field equipment to continue its 7th consecutive year of growth.
- Viking is looking to recruit one Shop/Yard Labourer for our new location in Stony Plain, AB.

**About You**:

- The right individuals will demonstrate a history of long-term commitment to prior employers, the ability to work safely in industrial environments and the capacity to learn and innovate. Individuals with chemical/industrial cleaning experience, fluid-haul, or performing industrial services to SAGD operations will be given preference.

**Job Details**:

- Primarily, this position will report to, and assist, the Field Service Coordinator through the performance of general labour as assigned. Duties will include (but are not limited to): cleaning vehicles/equipment, clearing snow (manually and mechanically), maintaining a clean/organized/safe shop/yard, unloading/loading trucks/trailers (manually and mechanically), warehousing/inventory, hotshot deliveries to our team in the field, collecting parts/supplies from our suppliers, and other labour duties as assigned.
- The successful applicant will be hired as an employee (not sub-contractor) and must complete a 3-month probationary period.

**Experience / Education**:

- 2 years of labour experience - preferably in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- General knowledge of working mechanics (good mechanical instincts).
- Class 5 Drivers License - minimum.
- Preferred - Experience and comfort pulling trailers (i.e., 36-ft gooseneck utility trailer with an F-550).

**Job Requirements**:

- Able to reliably commute daily to the Viking CIP shop in Stony Plain, AB.
- Able to work shift work.
- Ability and Willingness to follow Viking CIP policies, procedures, and practices at all times, to ensure the safety of all who may be impacted by our work.
- Outdoor work in sometimes harsh climate conditions.
- On and off-site safety, including diligent use of PPE at all times.
- Must possess general mechanical aptitude and abilities.
- Worker must be hardworking and dependable.
- Must work well with others/be a team player.
- Must possess a resourceful and self-motivated attitude.
- **This is a safety sensitive position and the successful completion of pre-access drug, alcohol, and fitness screening is required.**

**Mandatory Certifications/Licenses**:

- Valid Class 5 drivers license.
- Three (3) year Commercial Drivers Abstract (CDA) demonstrating a safe driving history with no major convictions and no more than three (3) minor convictions.
- Standard First Aid
- H2S Alive

**Highly desirable Certifications/licenses**:

- Forklift (counterbalance)
- Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Fall Protection
- Aerial/Elevated Work Platform

**Compensation**:

- Permanent, Full Time Employment (minimum 40 hours per week).
- Probationary wages (first 90 days of employment): $25.00/hr while working in the shop, $32.55/hr while working in the field.
- After probation: $26.50/hr while working in the shop/yard, $35.81/hr while working in the field.
- Overtime payable after 8-hours per day, or 44-hours per week.
