**Construction Division**

**Base: Stony Plain, Alberta**

**Position: Labourer, **Full-time Seasonal**

**Start Date: This position has an anticipated start date of **ASAP,** _(weather dependent)_

**Main Responsibilities**:
This position is part of the ACP Applied Products **Construction Division**. We are based in Stony Plain (20 minutes west of Edmonton) and may require working out of town approximately 50% of the time, as well as occasional night shifts. Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the Construction Foreman is responsible for all matters pertaining to the specific project they are assigned. Versatility, flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide support to the Construction Division in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Communicate job specifics to the crew.
- Assign tasks to crew members.
- Maintain work standards and outline behavioral expectations to ensure crew safety, productivity and morale.
- Ensure principles for a safe and respectful workplace.
- Ensure crew compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Know and understand Alberta Transportation and/or municipality specifications.
- Track and input daily quantities for production.
- Track and input daily time for labour and equipment.
- Conduct jobsite inspections.
- Active training and re-training for safe excavation, work around utilities, traffic accommodation strategies, etc.
- Coordinate with the superintendent, consultant, other stakeholders with respect to project specifics, extra work, change orders, etc.

**Qualifications**:
**Education, Training, Diplomas and Certifications**
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and current drivers abstract.

**Working Conditions**:

- Travel as required.
- Overtime as required.
- Use of personal protection equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
- Driving long distances unaccompanied.
