**Position Summary**

**Duties**
- Applies appropriate, state-of-the-art AI/ML methods to research problems.
- Develops scientific protocols in area of expertise.
- Stays abreast of novel scientific techniques and experiment with them.
- Lead productive working group sessions to disseminate knowledge.
- Co-Supervise and mentor students and other staff.
- Willingness to work on novel datasets and tackle complex clinical challenges.
- Ability to develop and drive independent research projects focused on area of interests and expertise (time will be allocated to pursue own interests).

**Qualifications**
- PhD in computer science or bioinformatics, with a proven track record of analyzing large biological and health system related data using machine learning.
- Proven track record of published academic papers in high impact journals, conferences, etc.
- Keen interest in cardiovascular disease as well as health system improvements.
- Two strong letters of recommendation from established peers/supervisors/mentors in the field.
- Maximum 2-page Letter of Intent highlighting expertise, projects, accomplishments, and research interests and goals.
- Demonstrate ability to mentor students and work collaboratively with clinicians.
