**YOUR MISSION**

**Under the authority of the Specialty Chef, the props specialist will be responsible for**:

- Design, manufacture and / or reproduce the props (stage / costumes) according to the technical and artistic specifications required.
- Ensure compliance with production deadlines for assigned projects as well as their budgetary allocation;
- Research materials and new methods that can improve projects or solve technical problems;
- Transfer the wealth of knowledge in the manufacture of accessories according to the expertise acquired;
- Submit to his manager the possibilities and technical and artistic constraints for the accessories;
- Participate in the costing of projects;
- Make the technical and artistic adjustments requested;
- Perform fittings with the artists in collaboration with the various stakeholders;
- Gather the information necessary for the development of technical documents; write them up and update the procedures to be followed by ensuring their accuracy, produce and document the samples of the accessories;
- Carry out the self-assessment of the quality of his work and have it validated, if necessary, by a resource person;
- Provide operational and technical support to show teams and external partners to ensure the quality of deliverables, in collaboration with the support team;
- Participate in research and development activities as well as in the simplification of accessories;
- Participate in the creation of prototypes from an idea, an image or a sketch, taking into account the constraints in a context of artistic and acrobatic performance;
- Participate in team meetings and weekly meetings;
- Participate in the various costume workshop projects;
- Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment;
- Contribute to the development of the skills of your peers;
- Perform all other related tasks.

**YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE
- DEC in theater production or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacture of props, in the entertainment industry or equivalent;
- Knowledge of SAP, Gérico, ADN and Cosmos. Optitex an asset;
- Ability to work in 3 dimensions with dexterity and speed;
- Ability to perform repetitive work, requiring repetitive movements, precision, thoroughness and may require a certain physical effort;
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment through its openness and mastery of different techniques and to work within tight deadlines;
- Ability to adapt to the unexpected and to work in a team;
- Ability to work with certain hazardous materials, non-traditional materials or tools;
- Autonomy, sense of organization, versatility, flexibility and resourcefulness;
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
- Availability to travel abroad according to the mandate.
