**About us**:
Founded in 1960, the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) is one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit agencies in Ottawa and a registered charity. It provides mental health services, employment programs, emergency shelter, community, health and housing services, and justice programs to youth in the Ottawa area, serving between 2,500 and 3,000 at‑risk individuals aged 12+ and their families every month. YSB employs 350 caring professionals in a unionized environment in over 26 locations across Ottawa.

The Security Manager will directly report to the Assistant Director of Operations. The Security Manager's primary role is establishing, maintaining, reviewing and reinforcing safety and security protocols and procedures for Youth Justice. The Security Manager will gather security information, review surveillance camera system, educate, supervise and teach staff proper security protocols. They will liaise with Operational Coordinators and staff. They will also provide facility inspections and liaise with municipal, and provincial partners.

**What you will do**:

- Meet with clients of Youth Justice upon admission to gather information
- Share necessary information with staff and management team
- Gather information throughout the two facilities, and liaise with facility, municipal and provincial partners
- Regularly review video surveillance system to support staff training and supervision
- Review video footage post-incidents, complete reports and action plans
- Support debriefs post incidents
- Complete internal fact finding after incidents
- Support staff training, development with a focus on safety and security
- Ensure security policies and procedures are adhered to throughout facilities
- Complete security audits and reporting to management team
- Support development and reviews of agency policy and procedures
- Ensure safe working practices are followed as established by the Youth Services Bureau and department
- Complete Monthly Security Reports including monthly observations, information and intelligence gathered, serious occurrences and other in
