**Job Description** Fairmont Gold Captain**
At Fairmont Chateau Whistler, unparalleled service and luxury await guests of Fairmont Gold, our exclusive “hotel within a hotel” experience. As Fairmont Gold Captain you will bring our exceptional Fairmont Gold standards to life.

**Pay Rate**:
$22.50 per hour

**What you will be doing**:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Lead service in the Fairmont Gold Lounge and ensure menu and food presentation is in keeping with Fairmont Gold standards
- Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure Fairmont Gold loyalty
- Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
- Provide exceptional information to our Guests about local and area attractions
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications** Your experience and skills include**:

- Previous customer related supervisory experience preferred
- Food Safe Certification is required
- Serving It Right Qualification Required
- Must possess a professional presentation
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

**Physical aspects include but are not limited to**:

- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50+ lbs
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
