RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing corporate documentation for BC and Federal entities, including incorporations, name changes, changes in directors and officers, alterations to share structure and articles, amalgamations, continuations, restorations, dissolutions, transparency registers and other related transactional tasks;
- Preparing and filing documentation for creation of and/or updating of partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations across Canada;
- Preparing and filing of annual reports and annual consent resolutions for BC and Canadian entities;
- Preparing and filing documentation for BC societies and federal not-for-profit corporations;
- Preparing and filing of extra-provincial annual returns;
- Maintaining corporate files and record books through ALF Corporate;
- Conducting Provincial and Federal corporate searches;
- Updating ALF database;
- Receiving and sending out record books out as required for registered and records office changes;
- Liaising with clients including communicating with and responding appropriately to client requests;
- Managing time and expense entries into Clio;
- Opening, closing, and maintaining new client/matter records in Clio;
- Assisting with preparation of routine correspondence and preparing, drafting, and reviewing of various corporate and administrative documents;
- Supporting the firm’s team concept by readily assisting with overflow work;
- Other general administrative and secretarial support as requested.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a recognized paralegal program in BC;
- Minimum 2 year experience with BC corporate records maintenance, including filing annual reports, changes of director, changes of address etc.
- Good technical skills, including knowledge of ALF Corporate, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, BC Online, i-worx and Clio considered an asset for this position;
- Professional and courteous written and oral communication;
- Minimum 2 years experience working in a BC Law Firm;
- Responsive and able to prioritize workload;
- A helpful team-player;
- Eager to learn and grow

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Port Moody, BC V3H 2A6
