**Overview**
The Resident Program Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our assisted living memory care home. This position requires strong leadership skills and a compassionate approach to senior care, particularly for residents with dementia. The Resident Program Director ensures that high standards of care are maintained.
Job Requirements:
Reporting to the CEO, The Resident Program Coordinator manages the overall operations of all resident ADLs and social programs and has primary responsibility for meeting the direct care and life enrichment needs of the residents and families. The Coordinator has direct supervisory responsibility for the Resident Specialists, Activities Coordinator and Housekeeping staff and is a champion and resource in the Community for all elements and components of the Moments and Oasis Programs. The Coordinator works closely with the Director of Care in delivering quality care and CRC in marketing the property and ensuring smooth move ins and customer satisfaction.
**Duties**
- Supervise and lead a team of caregivers to provide exceptional care for residents.
- As a member of the care team, ensure that care and services are delivered as detailed in care plans tailored to the needs of residents, especially those requiring dementia care.
- Foster a positive environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement in activities.
- Attend regular assessments of resident health and well-being, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with families to address concerns and provide updates on resident progress.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements within the facility.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within senior care, assisted living, or memory care.
- Strong understanding of dementia care practices and principles.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Background in healthcare is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and healthcare regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
- Trained in C.P.R. and First Aid
- Must be able to communicate in English (written, verbal, reading)
- Computer literate with Outlook, Excel, Word as well as an aptitude and willingness to learn other job specific software
- Must have a valid Ontario drivers license.
- Must be available to work weekends as required.

- Due to our high level of residents with dementia; your tattoos and piercings must either remained covered by clothing or are discrete. Any other external body decoration, including hair, must not be frightening to a frail senior with dementia.
- You must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- You must be in good physical health as this job requires lifting, sitting, standing and walking.
- Must be COVID vaccinated
