**Valet Restorations, **A Successful West Kootenays Family Oriented Emergency Response Company with 30 years in the industry, is rapidly growing and is now currently expanding in other areas of BC. When our clients experience a fire, flood, or other disasters, natural or man made, we respond 24/7/365 to help them recover and get things back to normal. We are a preferred vendor to many of Canada's largest insurance companies.
We currently have immediate openings for a diverse **Skilled Carpenter** to join our family-oriented team in **Port Alberni, BC**.
**Responsibilities**:
- Positive and professional attitude
- Self-started with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Have a meticulous attitude towards job completion
- Safety conscious and able to wear the provided safety equipment
- Experience in finish and general carpentry
- Ability to work with all construction-related hand power tools
- Experience in renovations with the ability to think outside the box and make repairs to homes with like kind & quality in mind
- The ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Versatile in knowing that you will be required, to assist in other areas of the restoration company such as **demolition, abatement, contents, and emergency remediation** due to flood, fire etc.
- Be available for new floods/fires, after work hours, when On-Call. On-Call rotation averages 1 week in every 4 weeks.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid drivers license and a clear Drivers Abstract with a clean Criminal Record Check
- Superior customer service skills and professionalism with clients
- Able to work as a team
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to work alone or with mínimal supervision
- Minimum of 5 years experience
- References are required
