**About the Opportunity**:
The Operating Room Booking Clerk is responsible for the booking and scheduling of surgical patients for the Operating Theatres and Endoscopy Clinic, in a prompt and efficient manner. The Booking Clerk works closely with the Manager of Surgical Services, OR Clinical Leader, Access Manager, physicians, and nurses.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Successful completion of Grade XII or equivalent required
- One year related clerical experience, or successful completion of a recognized one year secretarial/office/business program
- Successful completion of a recognized Medical Terminology course with demonstrated knowledge of surgical terminology required
- Previous booking experience in a hospital setting is required
- Experience with Meditech, Access Repository, Share, CWS, PAR-NS, and ORM is preferred
- Demonstrated strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask
- Demonstrated excellence in prioritization skills with the ability to accomplish tasks within varying time limitations
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must demonstrate a customer focused service which interacts with the public in person and on the telephone in a pleasant, courteous and efficient manner
- Demonstrated ability to function well as a team member
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred

$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
