**Work Scope Information**
- ** Start date**: May 2023
- ** Location**: IOC - Labrador City
- ** Duration**:2-3 months (contract position)
- ** Travel and accommodations included.**

**What will you do?**
- Advise on safety related issues, promote a positive safety culture among employees
- Ensure the continuous improvement of project specific safety programs
- Provide the HSE orientation and training and provide guidance to project staff and craft
- Attend site toolbox talks and weekly safety meetings as required
- Conduct follow-up on incident and accident reports, corrective actions, and site inspection findings
- Perform HSE audits, inspections and investigations and ensure safety documentation is accurate and complete.

**What will you bring?**
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety from a recognized post-secondary institution
- A thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a construction environment
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and report writing is required
- Valid First Aid is an assetLocation Labrador City, NL
