Summary_

Reporting directly to the Director, Community Development and Strategic Alliances, the Membership Coordinator is responsible for the recruitment and engagement of organizational and individual members of the Quebec Community Groups Network. The Coordinator will represent the QCGN to current and prospective member organizations and individuals, while acting as an ambassador of the organization.
- Primary _Responsibilities_

Membership Coordination:

- Be a point of contact for all membership requests and deliver excellent membership services to all prospective, active, associate and individual members of the QCGN
- Coordinate full cycle membership process and troubleshoot as required
- Establish a positive relationship and communications with various member groups and community representatives;
- Administer and maintain online membership portal:

- Support the on-going implantation of membership portal;
- Update CRM to ensure good record-keeping for member status and contact information;
- Lead and oversee all automated process with an emphasis on the new member onboarding;
- Maintain internal lists and databases of members;
- Draft and update communications as required;
- Collect, collate, analyze, report and present engagement feedback data;- Ensure good record-keeping for member status and contact information.
- Work closely with Director Community Development and Strategic Alliances in:
- Identifying and developing recruitment strategies within defined geographical and/or sectorial communities ;
- Identification of gaps and design processes ;
- Identification of activities in which members have not had opportunity for involvement, and supports colleagues to create opportunities for feedback ;- Continuously engaging QCGN members and actively solicit their participation in QCGN activities;
- Meeting and delivering on established departmental objectives
- Facilitates meetings, prepares presentation content and makes presentations to membership governance committees, community groups and partner organizations, supports various engagement efforts as required.
- Prepare written content for regular updates to QCGN membership through channels including QCGN newsletters, website and social media.
- Plans, coordinates, organizes and facilitates engagement events and activities, including focused group discussions etc.
- Qualifications_
- BAC in communication sociology, economics, political science or any related education ;
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, community development with the government, an NGO, in the public sector, or related role ;
- Solid understanding of federal and provincial politics, government policy, public administration and political science a strong asset and / or familiarity with Quebec's English-speaking Community and the Official Languages Act is considered an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated experience working with Client Relations Management (CRM) software or equivalent platform ;
- Demonstrate experience in engaging and relate to diverse group of stakeholders ;
- Experience in organizations mandated to provide infrastructural and logístical support to networks or coalitions is considered an asset ;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) ;
- Time-management, prioritization, organization, collaboration, and public speaking skills ;
- Cultural Sensitivity and understanding, experience or training in DEI an asset
- Social media skills would be an asset, but is not necessary;
Note: Travel across Quebec, as well as a valid driver’s license is required for this position.
