We are currently looking for an experienced and very entrepreneurial Senior level Accountant to join us in our team. **About You**

You must have an excellent oral and written communication skills, an accounting designation and or working towards your CPA designation. You don’t mind rolling your sleeves just to get the job done. You know the ins and outs of a full-cycle accounting, and you are comfortable running reports and assembling budgets and templates. What’s more, you like analyzing those numbers and providing financial advice for the owners and stakeholders. You don’t mind taking care of people and managing operations, tasks like payroll, employee files, group insurance administration and tenant relations. You must have advance knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for a full-cycle accounting process, including payables, receivables, general ledger, and reporting (e.g., monthly financial statements)
- Follows Canadian accounting standards for private enterprise (ASPE and Canadian GAAP)
- Work directly with the owners in day to day operations
- Enters all transactions into our accounting software
- Oversee building managers and ensure accuracy in contractors’ progress billings
- Monitors and manages cash flows
- Processes payroll for all employees, and issues T4 statements
- Manages other employee programs, such as group insurance administration, monthly payroll and Worksafe BC payments and reports
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
- Assists in the hiring process and maintenance of employee records
- Prepares annual budgets for approval by the Director
- Prepares financing package as requested by owners, banks and financial institutions
- Prepares and files in a timely matter all legally required reports including, but not limited to, the annual report, GST returns, registered charities information returns, grant summary reports, and bank signing officers forms;
- Prepares year end financial statements and working papers to provide to external accountants
- Produces other financial analyses and provides strategic advice as requested
- Assists with office administration in matters such as insurance, leases, and equipment
- General administrative tasks as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Skills and Experience**
- Accounting-related diploma or degree
- CPA Designated or working towards a CPA designation
- At least 5 years experience in full-cycle accounting
- Experience in payroll processing
- Working knowledge of office software
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision
- Good organizational skills
- Advance knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel

Extensive knowledge of Residential Tenancy rules of BC

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $82,848.00-$88,509.00 per year
