Summer, Student Life & Learning Administrative Assistant
30 hrs per week, Temporary (8-week summer position)

Under the direction of the Dean of Students, the Manager of the CTL & Accessibility Services, and the
Orientation and Transition Coordinator, the Student Life & Learning Administrative Assistant provides
administrative support to the Student Life & Learning Office throughout the term of employment. This
position provides a wide variety of administrative support services, all of which contribute to the efficient
and professional operation of Student Life & Learning.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
As a member of the Student Life & Learning team, you will be required to:

- Provide administrative support for tasks/projects for the efficient functioning of the Student &
Learning Department.
- Review and Student Orientation onboarding information for all first-year students and

international students
- Assist in the planning of orientation in collaboration with the Student Life & Learning Team and

other on and off-campus partners.
- Support Exam Accommodation and accessibility services
- Coordinate and participate in the training of orientation volunteers and Student Leaders.

**QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrates confidence and maturity in interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated whilst knowing when to seek help.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Experience with computer software programs including Microsoft Office software including
- Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.- Experience with social media and content development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Open and willing to serve within a Christian context.
- Support the King’s mission and vision and demonstrate a commitment to King’s community values.

This position is funded through Canada Summers Jobs. All applicants must be between the ages of 15 - 30
and be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hours: 30 hours/week starting June 17, 2023 - August 9th, 2023.
