**SUMMARY of POSITION**

Currently, we are looking for **flexible, part-time Japanese Instructors **who can teach both in-person and virtual classes. Our language center is located in downtown Montreal with classrooms equipped with a laptop and a projector.

If you have native fluency in Japanese and a passion for both teaching and learning, then Berlitz may be the right place for you to utilize your knowledge and skills while developing yourself both personally and professionally as a language instructor

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As a Language Instructor, you will be expected to deliver both face-to-face and online lessons in accordance with Berlitz teaching principles while focusing on the interests and needs of your students. Instructors will be working one-on-one and also with groups of different sizes.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Keeping student records and profile cards up to date
- Doing midterm and final evaluations of students
- Participating in your performance evaluation plan
- Integrating learning technology into teaching programs

**QUALIFICATIONS/RELATED EXPERIENCE**:

- Native-level fluency in the target language (required)
- Flexible availability to work afternoons and evenings on weekdays and also on weekends (required)
- Excellent communication / interpersonal skills (required)
- Versatility in providing online lessons via Zoom, Microsoft teams, or other online platforms (required - to be tested upon first round of interviews and training sessions)
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent (preferred)
- Experience in teaching Japanese to adults (preferred)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $22.26 CAD per hour for teaching private students

$26.33 CAD per hour for teaching small groups (2 - 5 students)
