**The Opportunity
The Hub is looking for an energetic Marketing and Events Coordinator to fill a temporary full-time vacancy. In this position you’ll get the opportunity to plan, organize, and execute fun-filled events at The Hub Shopping Centre during our most fun summer months This role requires a blend of skills including time management, event management, and strong communication skills to engage target audiences to achieve marketing and event success.

**Is this you?**
- Do you have 2-3 years of work or co-op experience in marketing and or events.
- Are you a self-starter with a creative mindset and a passion for events, marketing and social media with a strong desire to learn.
- You’re organized, collaborative and have the ability to thrive and prioritize in a dynamic constantly changing work environment.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

**Job Duties and Accountabilities**: In addition to following PMco’s policies and procedures, job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Leading in the fun activities
- Understand requirements and event specifications such as scope, format, budget, and administrative details.
- Research and negotiate contracts with vendors (catering, decorator, speakers, entertainment, etc.) while meeting budgetary objectives and time constraints.
- Contribute to the creation of marketing strategies and creative marketing campaigns to promote events effectively.
- Photograph and video all events at The Hub for social media and website.
- Minor graphic design, advertising, social media coordination, and website management
- Monitor and oversee events from preparation and set-up through tear down to ensure adherence to planned format, compliance with regulations, cooperation between vendors, resolution of issues, and overall satisfaction of participants and sponsors.
- Maintain a record of vendors and suppliers with up-to-date details on contact information and communications
- Work with Director in creating annual budgets and forecasts for event expenditure.
- Assist in preparing annual event calendar and process for executing all events.

**Work Environment:
In this role you will work in various settings, including office, event venues, and sometimes remotely. The role may require travel for on-site event management and irregular hours including evenings and weekends, especially during events.
