The Purpose of the Role

The holder must have a good knowledge of complex clothing such as bra and/or lingerie and/or sleepwear.The main task is to produce the technical drawings and specifications for the development of styles, evaluate the samples under his responsibility, write and send reports for the improvements to be
made by the factories up to the production step.

**Job Description**:

- Collaborate with the Supervisor, Technical Design and Quality Assurance in the development, standardization and maintenance of quality standards for his division
- Prepare work files for suppliers, create interior and exterior “tech sketch / technical drawings”, front and back with seams, finishing technique and necessary construction
- Ensure that theinformation is complete for the development of styles as well as for obtaining prices with our suppliers
- Measure and evaluate the quality of styles under his responsibility
- Prepare the fitting sessions with members of the team
- Communicate with suppliers the correction, fitting and quality reports
- Communicate internally with team members about changes or quality issues during development
- Participate in collection presentation meetings to start the styles under his responsibility
- Good sense of organization and priorities to meet deadlines
- Provide technical support for other team members if needed
- Ensure that the products adequately meet the quality standards established by the company
- Work closely with the buying and design teams to ensure that the style management corresponds to the products purchased
- Work in collaboration with the import coordination team to meet deadlines
- Maintain clothing technique documents to maintain standards

**Requirements**:

- College diploma in fashion design or equivalent
- 5 to 10 years of experience in womenswear;
- Intermediate level technical knowledge in lingerie, bras, sleepwear and loungewear and structured clothing;
- Essential bilingalism (written and spoken for communication with overseas factories;
- Knowledge of pyjama, loungewear or structured clothing is an asset
- Essential bilingualism (written and spoken)
- Microsoft Office proficiency and basic knowledge of Illustrator software
- Relevant experience in pattern making, grade evaluation and importation
- Sense of organization, thoroughness and autonomy
