Logistic Co-ordinator

The logistics Coordinator role is a 6-month contract position with opportunity to extend and will report directly to the Implementation Lead within the Integrated Care Solutions division of Bayshore. This role will support with the on-site set-up of new and/or expanding Transitional Care Units across Ontario. This includes the set-up of all physical spaces including receiving deliveries, assembling furniture, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of these spaces in accordance with IPAC and OSHA protocols. This role will also support other project work that may include Accreditation preparation, supply and equipment organization and tracking, and other smaller initiatives as required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Complete and sign-off on all set-up tasks as outlined in the implementation checklist
- Coordinate and communicate with required contractors for set-up of IT and other services
- Receive, track, unbox and organize shipments in a timely manner
- Communicate discrepancies between purchase orders and packing slips with the purchasing department
- Communicate effectively and timely with project team members and other stakeholders about progress of tasks, changes to timelines, risks etc.
- Create signage, checklists, documentation, and presentations as needed
- Communicate effectively through multiple mediums and in-person; deliver presentations and/or education as needed
- Ability to work alone and within a team environment that changes constantly and per location
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management both internal and external to the organization in a professional and clear manner
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables - time management and attention to detail are critical
- Prepare reports and documents as requested
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
- Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties; is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns
- Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel
- Complete other tasks as requested

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Logistics Coordinator within the Integrated Care Solutions division will report directly to the Implementation Lead

Job Qualification

Minimum High-School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in relevant field of study (business administration, project management etc.) is an asset
- Certifications in project management or quality improvement methodologies are an asset

Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting projects and initiatives
- Previous work experience in a healthcare environment is an asset
- Experience managing a variety of stakeholders and juggling multiple priorities
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Other Skills and Abilities
- Possess own vehicle, with valid driver’s license and insurance
- Ability to lift and move items and furniture up to and around 40-50 pounds
- Ability to complete minor handyman tasks (assembling furniture or installing fixtures to walls)
- Ability to take initiative and complete tasks with mínimal supervision
- Exceptional customer relations and teamwork skills
- High-Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, handle multiple tasks, and work effectively both independently and as part of team
- Strong commitment to continued learning with fluency in written and spoken English
