**Position Summary**:
A cashier is committed to achieving Doidge Building Centres Ltd.’s service standards while providing the customers with the best shopping experience possible.

There is one PT weekends only position and one PT seasonal position available.

**Location**:This position is at the RONA store in Miller Lake, Ontario.

**Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to**:

- Build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional, and contractor customers
- Motivates and influences sales performance with positive feedback and recognition
- Direct or guide customers to departments to provide products and services, and process transactions
- Maintain checkout workstations and ensure they are clean, tidy, and uncluttered
- Produce and balance the cash report at the end of each shift
- Comply with the Company’s policies and procedures regarding loss prevention and health and safety
- Physically demanding. Use of ladders and lifting techniques when required. Lifting can be a component of this position

**Qualifications**:

- Exceptional customer service skills
- Exemplary listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Proficient computer skills and basic math skills
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Flexible availability based on store needs (includes evenings and weekends)
- First aid trained an asset

Doidge Building Centres Ltd. started out as a single lumber yard in 1993 in Miller Lake. Over the years, the company has grown to include 11 locations, 10 of which are branded with Rona.
