**About the position**

Our crew members play an important role with ensuring lighting, grip and cable equipment is pulled, shipped, received, and tested to ensure all product meets our standard of excellence to best support our clients. We provide mentoring, training and can offer internal career growth opportunities.

The Grip Department is built on a sturdy foundation of a positive attitude, clear communication, and interest in helping anyone who is in need. If you have a keen attention to detail, work well under pressure and enjoy a day’s worth of physical labour, the Grip department is for you.

Regular business hours, weekdays 8:00am until 5:00pm, located out of our Burnaby location. This is a warehouse shipping/receiving position which does not involve working on-set.

**How you’ll contribute**:

- Accurately pull items from order paperwork to stage and ship equipment
- Perform accurate counts on incoming and outgoing gear
- Receive purchases and transfers of equipment
- Perform thorough quality control checks, including testing of equipment, to ensure high standards are met prior to shipment
- Flag and defer defective or damaged equipment to the appropriate department
- Ensure equipment is correctly labeled and branded with serial numbers, barcodes, company logos and engravings
- Keep the Department Head or 2nd DH apprised when inventory items are running low
- Develop continuous knowledge of equipment (new and historic) including uses and locations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain positive and courteous customer relations
- Help to build respectful team relationships with co-workers
- Identify issues and make recommendations when possible
- Strictly follow all procedures, processes, and paperwork
- Provides support in other departments as needed

**What you’ll need to succeed**:

- Be reliable and punctual
- Customer-driven mindset
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts safely (training provided)
- Comfortable with frequent heavy lifting and repetitive tasks and long periods of time standing
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Available to work overtime or weekends if needed
