**_ The role:_**

A key strategic priority for iA Investment Management is to utilize advanced quantitative models, data, and analytics to support investment decision making. Consistent with this focus, we are looking for a Director, Data Science and Investment Analytics to lead the design and development of customized, scalable, and robust analytics capabilities across our equities, fixed income, private markets and operations teams. These capabilities will, in turn, improve our investment processes, strengthen risk management, automate reporting, and enable the development of new investment products.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Function as a trusted technical advisor to department leadership and assist them in setting the analytics vision for the department
- Collaborate with the investments and information technology sectors to identify and prioritize high-value quantitative research and data science initiatives
- Work with portfolio managers, traders, and technologists to gather requirements, determine scope, define objectives, and devise an action plan for each initiative
- Develop quantitative models, data driven analytics tools and scalable infrastructure in support of the action plans
- Integrate the newly developed capabilities into our investing, risk management and product development processes

**_ Required Skills and Experience:_**
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience within investment analytics
- Deep knowledge of fundamental and quantitative investment processes including alpha generation, risk modeling, portfolio construction and trading
- Experience working in close collaboration with portfolio managers and traders
- Demonstrable passion for investing and a strong interest in the intersection of markets, data science and technology
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel / VBA with a particular expertise in modern data science and analytics tools
- Familiarity with investment software (Bloomberg, order management systems etc.) and financial data providers (Refinitiv, DataStream etc.)
- Ability to independently own and manage complex initiatives including analysis, design, development, and deployment
- Ability to iterate rapidly, prototype efficiently and develop incrementally
- Comfort with open ended problems involving both structured and unstructured data
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, an eye for detail and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Client service orientation with a curious, creative, and collaborative style
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
