The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre is a program of Provincial Services Division of the Ministry of Children and Family Development. The Maples is a designated provincial mental health facility providing on-site, community, outreach and ancillary services to collaboratively support youth, families and communities. The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre works with youth in British Columbia with significant psychiatric and behavioural difficulties, ages 12 to 17.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent disciplines (i.e. criminology or focused on social science area of study.)
- **NOTE**: If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Two (2) years or more of experience working with adolescents with severe and ongoing mental health issues.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province). NOTE: If you do not currently have a valid driver's license in Canada, and if you are the successful applicant, you must acquire a valid class 5 BC driver's license immediately.
- Preference may be given to applicants who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.

**About this Position**:
There is currently a full-time temporary opportunity available to May 31, 2025.
This temporary opportunity may be extended.
This temporary posting is not limited to the geographic area. Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
You will be required to travel regularly within the province.
