**Summary of Duties**:
The Special Events Programmer at Storybook Gardens is responsible for the planning, development, and execution of diverse and engaging events that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of the City of London. This role will involve collaborating with community partners, managing budgets, and creating programming that is inclusive and accessible to all members of the community, including children, families, and sensory-friendly populations.
**Work Performed**:
- **Event Planning and Coordination**:
- Develop, plan, and implement a range of special events, including Festival Fridays, seasonal celebrations, and signature programming throughout the year.
- Collaborate with community organizations, local artists, and cultural groups to design events that celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity.
- **Programming Development**:
- Create engaging and themed programming for Festival Fridays, ensuring free admission for children and utilizing sponsorship dollars effectively.
- Design daily programming in the park that highlights multicultural themes, featuring a variety of entertainers and performers.
- **Community Engagement**:
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance event offerings and outreach.
- Actively seek feedback from the community to continually improve programming and ensure it meets the needs of diverse populations.
- **Accessibility and Inclusion**:
- Develop unique special events catered to sensory-friendly populations, ensuring a welcoming and accommodating environment for all attendees.
- Promote and celebrate diverse community holidays through tailored events that encourage participation from various cultural groups.

**Qualifications**:
