Key Accountabilities
- Be part of the ISG Investment Analytics team and help guide the product direction and delivery
- Key domain leader in designing innovative software solutions in the areas of core algorithmic trading API’s, models & signals implementations, pre/post trade analytics, back-testing and risk functions for Front office alpha generation desks
- Develop and foster relationships with the IT Team, HOOPP business partners (Traders, Portfolio managers, Security Operations, Data Management) and other IT teams to capture requirements, prototype solutions, provide demos, test and support the final deliverables
- Research and bring new and innovative Technology ideas to the table
- Design and oversees the data workflow, data engineering and data mining on time-series market data and trade signals, under the direction from Front office alpha generation desks
- Professional documentation of methodology, validation testing and specification used by model
- Assist in end to end and regression tests of products and solutions
- Identify, prioritize, and manage projects independently and in collaboration with peers as requirements and timelines dictate
- Mentoring and developing junior team members

Experiences with following are a plus:

- Lead product delivery of trade execution and cost analysis systems based on investment management division’s research and model
- Understanding of pre-trade, post-trade of trade workflow and provide suggestions on improvement of efficiencies from software engineering and infrastructure perspective.

Qualifications:

- Senior IT professional with 8+ years Capital Markets experience, deep analytic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with full life cycle of software development, including requirements, design, development, testing, rollout, implementation, training and support
- Solid understanding of systematic investment strategies/processes, quantitative techniques (statistics, optimization), market microstructure, portfolio theories, execution and pre/post trade analytics across several asset classes
- Experience in building of real-time Equity, FX, Futures trading platforms, inclusive of algorithmic and systematic complex event processing at any financial institution
- Knowledge of market risk modelling methodologies (value-at-risk, expected shortfall, Greek-based VaR)
- Experience in derivatives/traded asset pricing and financial data analysis
- Technical aptitude, including Python, SQL, data modelling/relational data
- Professional accreditation in Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) would be an asset
- Experience in working with time series database would be an asset
- Technical & Quantitative Development experience would be an asset
- Azure DevOps (or similar work item tracking tool such as Jira) would be an asset.
- Effectively communicate with end users who may not be technical proficient and present ideas in simple but effective manner and translate them into actionable workplans
- Able to handle stress and manage expectations from different business/technical stakeholders in this fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact with and build strong working relationships with Traders and technology Teams (Analysts, Developers, Coaches)
- Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team of varying skill levels
- Comfortable working in an environment with a high rate of change and, when appropriate, willingness to step outside of primary role in order to facilitate successful outcomes
- Passionate about improving your own skills as well as those of your colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring
