St. Michael's Hospital Foundation (SMHF) is the exclusive fundraising organization to generate and manage philanthropic funds for St. Michael's Hospital and Providence Healthcare, within Unity Health Toronto. Through multiple lines of fundraising income generation and stewardship activity, SMHF, in conjunction with Unity Health, will define and promote the St. Michael's and Providence brands to maximize philanthropic revenue to fuel their healthcare, research, teaching and health equity missions. The Vice-President, Marketing and Brand Strategy leads five business functions core to the strategic direction of the Foundation: 1.) Brand Strategy; 2.) Marketing and Communications; 3.) Direct and Digital Marketing; 4.) Event and Event Marketing; and 5.) Community Giving. Working with the President and CEO (PCEO), the VP will lead all marketing initiatives enabling the Foundation to maximize its philanthropic revenue.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES**

RESPONSIBILITY -Brand Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the Foundation's and Unity Health Toronto's mission and values
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all communication channels and materials
- Monitor brand performance and conduct market research to make informed branding decisions

RESPONSIBILITY -Marketing and Communications
- Lead the development of mass marketing and communication strategies that enhance the Foundation's visibility and engagement with target audiences
- Oversee the creation of compelling content, including written, visual, and multimedia materials
- Manage public relations efforts to maintain a positive image and effectively communicate the Foundation's goals and achievements

RESPONSIBILITY - Direct and Digital Marketing
- Lead the development of direct and digital marketing campaigns to increase revenue and donor engagement
- Utilize data and analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging digital marketing technologies

RESPONSIBILITY - Event and Event Marketing
- Develop event marketing strategies to attract attendees and promote the Foundation
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes

RESPONSIBILITY - Community Giving
- Lead community giving initiatives (e.g., P2P, third-party fundraisers, cause marketing)
- Monitor and report on community giving programs' impact and effectiveness

**KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the mission and values of St. Michael¿s Foundation
- A university degree, ideally at a graduate level or with other professional training, or a combination of comparable skills and experience
- 15-20 years of progressive experience in philanthropy, including a number of the specific job responsibilities
- Experiences in people management and leadership
- Experience developing and executing a comprehensive omnichannel brand and marketing strategy, driving philanthropic revenue and growth
- A strong understanding of marketing principles, including mass, digital, event and direct marketing, and public relations
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze trends from quantitative and qualitative data and work in developing and implementing strategic plans
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work towards multiple and competing goals within deadlines
- Enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic organization with the ability to relate to a variety of personality and communication styles
- Highly collaborative with the ability to coach and mentor teams to perform, and who builds integrative bridges across business functions
- Willingness to work flexible hours
