The _**Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters **_**(OFAH)**is currently searching for a hard-working, motivated individual to assist with our Invading Species Awareness Program (ISAP).

The **Invasive Species Digital & Communications Liaison** will be responsible for developing and delivering communication products on invasive species for the general public and the media. This position will be responsible for the analysis and synthesis of invasive species related information (e.g. research, presentations, briefings/announcements, staff activities) and for the development and integration of this information into products that can be shared with media contacts (e.g. web, print), utilized via social media tools and OFAH communication tools, such as the OFAH Insider, _Ontario OUT of DOORS_, and OFAH social media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter). This will require information to be presented in ways that most effectively inform, educate, engage, and motivate audiences on invasive species issues.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop online content for the ISAP social media platforms and quarterly e-newsletter, and provide ongoing maintenance to the ISAP website to ensure it is up-to-date and relevant;
- Lead the implementation of the program’s communications plan by identifying, in cooperation with staff and like-minded organizations, the need for new or updated print and media products;
- Remain current on relevant issues in order to provide accurate information for media interviews (e.g. newspaper, magazine, radio, television, etc.);
- Share answering calls on the Invading Species Hotline, respond to information requests, and refer callers to other sources of information when necessary;
- Speak and conduct seminars, workshops, and presentations at various shows, meetings, conference, events, trade shows, etc. for audiences ranging from children to teenagers to adults;
- Attend trade shows, transport and set up of display and associated equipment/materials, staff the “Invading Species” display, answer the public’s questions and distribute literature, collect workshop registrations, and sell OFAH memberships; and
- Monitor activity on the ISAP’s social media accounts and respond (when appropriate) to comments and/or questions about invasive species.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- College or university education in journalism, communications, public relations, fish and wildlife, biology, environmental science or work-related experience in the relevant fields;
- Minimum of three years working experience in managing and/or supporting social media strategies, accounts, content curation, marketing, and public relations is an asset.

**Other Requirements**:
