**About the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum**

The British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is a not-for-profit organization based in downtown Vancouver at BC Place stadium on the unceded, on the unceded, ancestral and traditional lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh), and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nations.

Our mission is to create outstanding community legacies by honouring the past and inspiring the future. Our vision is future champions making their dreams come true.

We are committed to the promotion of sport history, heritage and culture, presiding over a collection of more than 27,000 artifacts, 100,000 archival documents and dozens of galleries, exhibits and displays spanning more than 150 years of sporting accomplishments. The award-winning Indigenous Sport Gallery at the BC Sports Hall of Fame celebrates the achievements of 40 First Nations and

Métis athletes and 20 sports. Through exhibits, interactive media, and storytelling, the gallery is responding to Call to Action #87 of the Truth and Reconciliation

Commission, which calls for the promotion of Indigenous culture and heritage through sport.

Through innovative museum education programs and engagement across B.C., we aim to help cultivate and strengthen sports culture by inspiring children and youth to participate, inspiring the next generation of athletes and leaders.

**About the Digital Museum Project Leader role**

**What the digital project leader will do**
- Serve as the Sports Hall’s lead behind the development of an online

Indigenous Sport Gallery experience accessible across mobile, tablet, and desktop platforms.
- Connect and meaningfully engage with an Indigenous-led steering group,

Indigenous businesses and resources.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, leaders, and knowledge keepers to ensure the project accurately represents Indigenous culture and history in sports.
- Collaborate with the curatorial team and Indigenous knowledge keepers to ensure the development of appropriate and accurate content for the gallery.
- Adhere to all aspects of the digital Indigenous Sport Gallery project including timeline, budget, and resources.
- Maintain communications, reporting, and collaboration with key funders and stakeholders.
- Ensure that the project is delivered on time, and within budget.
- Participate in the development of marketing and promotional strategies for the Indigenous Sport Gallery.
- Maintain knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices and customs
- Ensure that the project is developed with cultural sensitivity.

**What you bring**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in project management, digital media, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital project management.
- Strong understanding of First Nations & Métis cultures, practices, and customs.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and leaders.
- Experience in managing projects from start to finish, including budget, timeline, and resource management.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams, including researchers, writers, curators, designers, developers, and content creators.
- Experience with digital content creation and user interface/user experience design.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies for digital projects.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs and social media platforms.
- Familiarity with UX Design, UI Design, Copywriting/Content Strategy, Media Production, and Development are assets.

This is a full-time, 12-month temporary position with the possibility of extension through additional digital projects the museum is actively exploring. The position is based in Vancouver, BC with a mix of on-site and remote work.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: $42,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
