**Position summary**:
Reporting to the Team Lead of Revenue Growth Management, the position’s principal objective is to provide pricing leadership and analysis to enable strategic price recommendations and develop best-in-class pricing capabilities with the goal of driving Gross Margin and Net Sales. The role is also the central resource for pricing analysis across the Market Development Team.
This position offers a unique experience not found within other Sales functions because of the high degree of interaction with the different departments within the organization
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Provide holistic perspective and insightful analytics that lead to strategic pricing recommendations across all Channels
- Provide pricing thought leadership and leverage best practice intelligence, processes, technology and research to further develop pricing intelligence and capability
- Develops tools to enhance and integrate descriptive and predictive demand and financial analytics to optimize and streamline pricing scenario development and decision-making process. Owns software, spreadsheets, models, and other programs used to assist in price decisions
- Lead the strategy and execution of pricing actions rooted in commodities, including development of “selling stories” for sales team
- Lead cross functional development and refinement of channel strategy pricing guardrails for all pricing KPIs to feed into Perfect Store playbook
- Propose short term pricing moves and long-term pricing strategy recommendations in order to drive appropriate financial KPI across all brands (ie. Gross Margin, Net Sales)
- Collaborate with Brand Marketing to establish innovation pricing strategy rooted in analytics and consumer/customer/category/competitive insights
- Partner with Brand and MS&P teams to define the role of pricing in categories, ensure alignment to brand objectives and consideration of competitive pricing and promo strategies
- Responsible for analysis, execution and score-carding of strategic pricing recommendations (base, incremental, EDLP etc.) in addition to pricing strategy for innovation for select brands within our portfolio

**Qualifications**:
- University degree in Business or like discipline, MBA is an asset
- 3+ years of CPG experience in roles within Revenue Management, Customer or Sales strategy, Sales or Trade finance preferred
- Strategic thinker who is willing to work outside of their comfort zone and has the courage to challenge status quo in the spirit of efficiency
- Excellent analytical skills and a high level of competency with modeling, complex analytics, consumer research, and customer databases
- Ability to articulate complex concepts in clear, simple & logical terms, and build compelling and persuasive presentations that aligns and facilitates discussion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with Nielsen
- Familiarity with the Canadian market place and the dynamic that exists between brands, retailers and consumers
- Thrives in a cross functional, team environment with the ability to lead teams through projects
