- There is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the health and wellness of the crew members working aboard the Vancouver and Victoria based cruise ships for the upcoming Alaska cruise season. Your role will be like that of a football quarterback, coordinating all the logistics to ensure these crew members receive the care they need while the vessel is docked in Vancouver/Victoria. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role that requires you to problem-solve on the go and be a key member of a team committed to the highest level of service. Reporting to our Director of Operations, you will be responsible for all day-to-day components of the program.

This is an
**8-month contract** role, with the possibility to be extended for a longer term or full-time.

**Key**

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and manage all operational support functions of the shore-side care program including client relations, customer service, bookings, and invoicing
- In collaboration with our physician team, review and categorize referrals from cruise ships and establish medical needs
- Send referrals to appropriate clinicians/clinics and coordinate/confirm scheduled appointments with all parties
- Coordinate all billing, invoicing, and communications for both our vendors and clients
- Develop new connections and further existing connections with medical professionals and service providers to expand our network of vendors
- Provide support to clinicians/clinics/ship for ongoing appointments and source new specialist contracts
- Create and maintain general cruise program assets
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Medical Office Assistant certificate preferred
- Comfort in working in a high paced environment
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent collaborative and team working skills
- Client-focused and high-level ability to maintain customer relations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of invoicing and billing procedures along with basic financial literacy is an asset
- Flexible to respond to emergency calls as/when required (may include occasional weekends and after-hours)
