**Overview**
We are seeking a qualified **Instructor** for our **Logistics & Supply Chain Management Diploma Program**. This position will instruct our students in the service or producing and delivering a final product or service, from the supplier’s supplier to the customer’s customer. This program introduces students to managing supply and demand, procuring and sourcing raw materials and parts, manufacturing and assembly, warehousing and tracking inventory, order taking, order entry and order management, logistics, distribution across all channels, and trucking and delivery to the customer.
The **Instructor** is responsible for delivering course content in a dynamic and engaging manner; implementing and correcting assignments/projects; and actively implementing course curriculum. As an Instructor, you will observe and adhere to all company policies and best practices.
**Responsibilities**
- Respond to student inquiries and provide feedback to students in a respectful and timely manner
- Deliver course content from our Edmonton Campuses using our Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Share industry-related knowledge, expertise, and passion with the students
- Provide guidance and support to adult learners
- Create formative and summative evaluations of students
- Lesson planning, curriculum evaluation and revision
- Participation in staff meetings
- Facilitation of some special events and/or workshops
- Upholding the policies and regulations of the programs
- Distributing projects and assignments to the students
- Organizing quizzes, tests and projects in the classroom
- Correcting test papers, grading and posting grades in a timely manner
- Facilitating classroom discussions on various topics
- Distributing learning materials to the students
- Providing additional teaching support for slower learners
- Building a strong relationship with the students
- Reporting student progress, attendance and grades
- Performing other administrative tasks around the school as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Master's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred or a combination of:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field required AND
- Certifications in either Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP)
- Direct experience working in logistics and supply chain management roles within various industries, such as manufacturing, retail, transportation, or distribution.
- Experience in different aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and demand forecasting.
- Previous experience teaching logistics and supply chain management courses, either at academic institutions, vocational schools, or through professional development programs.
- Experience in using a learning management system (LMS) and other classroom technologies
- Proven excellent English proficiency (oral and written)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- A positive attitude and presentable appearance
- Ability to solve problems
- Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills
- Demonstrate multicultural sensitivity and awareness
- Ability to manage time effectively
