**About the role**

This junior or entry-level role was designed for those looking to gain professional experience in the education programming support and communications fields. The Programs and Outreach Coordinator will receive orientation, supervision, mentorship, and evaluation but will also be expected to be able to work independently and be self motivated and driven.**Tasks and responsibilities**

The Programs and Outreach Coordinator (two positions available) will participate in the development, planning, and implementation of community-based events and/or outreach (including digital outreach) with LDS leaders, volunteers, and team members. They will attend, with other LDS staff, various outreach events.The Coordinator will take the initiative in liaising with internal and external service providers to coordinate event planning within specific deadlines.The Coordinator will help with summer program delivery and coordination by planning and delivering games and break activities for students at the LDS East Van Learning Centre.**Reports to**: Executive Director and works closely with many team members**Start date**: mid-late June**Hours of work**:
- One position will be Monday through Friday, 830am to 430pm.- The other position will have more Saturday/weekend work to facilitate outreach event attendance.**Location**: These positions work primarily out of our East Vancouver office, on good transit and bike routes and has parking available. Some work may take place at outreach events in Greater Vancouver or occasionally at our North Vancouver office.**Job**
**Type**: Full-time temporary for 8 weeks in summer 2023. The 8 weeks do not need to be continuous; 1-2 weeks of unpaid vacation may be scheduled. This is a Canada Summer Jobs funded position; applicants must be students or recent students and be 30 years of age or younger as of 2023.**Remuneration**: $20 per hour-
