**SUMMARY**
The Director, Supply Chain creates modern, efficient, and aligned supply chain strategy in accordance with BCFSA’s vision and objectives. The position leads the enterprise-wide procurement function, ensuring best value along economic, environmental, and social consideration lines.
The director will create a plan to implement this strategy and will develop and communicate KPI’s to measure against that plan. This position demands seasoned expertise in business continuity risk management, change management, vendor relationship management, and trade agreement compliance with a focus on enhancing resilience and operational excellence, thereby continuously evolving the organization’s thinking, practices, governance, relationships and tools relating to the business landscape and supply chain market.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Build BCFSA’s strategic purchasing policy and supplier base and ensure an effective end-to-end procurement and supply chain service.
- Develop and supervise BCFSA’s acquisition programs.
- Lead the transformation of BCFSA’s strategic supply chain plan using change management best practices to tackle the evolving nature of best value, which includes economic, environmental, and social considerations along with process standardization and simplification.
- Enhance BCFSA’s supply chain resilience through strategic initiatives and management of enterprise-wide third-party business continuity risk
- Establish, communicate and enforce BCFSA’s supplier code of conduct
- Lead a team of professionals engaged in category strategy, sourcing and negotiation, supplier relationship management, and business improvement.
- Deliver superior service by developing a procurement team dedicated to world-class service delivery and efficiency, overseeing the flow of goods and services from supplier to consumer.
- Approve complex and technical contracts and statements of work
- Develop collaborative long-term partnerships with suppliers, contractors and outsourced service providers to reduce costs, meet legislative requirements and achieve high quality outcomes
- Collaborate with IT to optimize BCFSA’s technology spend
- Interpret legislation and translate into consistent policies and reference documents ensure BCFSA’s trade compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with varied perspectives, build consensus and mediate conflict, to find mutually beneficial, value-add solutions
- Actively collaborate on BCFSA’s needs early in the project planning process.
