**Job Duties**
- Provide professional service and communication directly with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the product, quality and variety of food.
- Prepare food for the dining facilities including preparation of soups, daily menus, specials of the day, vegetables, sauces, gravies, etc., and ensure primary preparation is completed for the following day
- Ensure appealing presentation on all service stations.
- Portion control instructions for servers
- Responsible for the correct holding temperatures of food prior to and during service; ensures a first-in, first out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
- Works with Head Chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
- Promote and enforce health and safety regulations and promote safety awareness in workplace
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years in a role as Cook 1 in a medium to large kitchen; volume cooking and catering experience also required
- Highly effective communication skills
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions, as well as to adapt them
- Exceptional organizational abilities
- Extended periods of time standing at workstations
- Ability to do lifting as required

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
