- Assistant**Intended job posting audience**The YFNED is seeking a creative, dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our Early Years team. In partnership with the Early Years Manager, the Assistant Manager will provide the branch with positive and visionary leadership. This includes the ability to set a positive tone for the work place and family environment, foster collaboration among staff and maintain a cohesive vision that aligns with YFNED’s mandate. Excellent communication skills are paramount as the Assistant Manager interacts with children, engages parents, educators and other stakeholders. Clear and transparent communication ensures that everyone involved is well-informed about the children’s progress, educational objectives, supports being offered and ensuring a holistic approach is being implemented for the family.
In addition to leadership and communication, organizational skills will be a cornerstone in this position. The Assistant Manager must adeptly oversee various facets of the program. Organizational skills will facilitate a healthy and stimulating environment for staff and our families. The Assistant Manager will also have a strong understanding of child development principles, and experience with maternal and infant health and parenting education, enabling them to assist the team in tailoring educational and health approaches to meet the diverse needs of each child and family in the Early Years Program. The Assistant Manager will be a pivotal figure in shaping experiences for our team and our families.
