**Description**

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, dynamic and energetic senior leader who wants to lead and propose big ideas, drive change and grow new revenue streams for the agency. The Director, Donor & Public Relations is responsible for overseeing, developing, implementing, and monitoring fundraising and communication strategies to enhance revenue which include annual giving, major gifts, corporate donations, individual giving, foundation support, in-kind resources, and grant solicitation. The Director will administer the Circle of Care Planned Gift program. The Director, Donor & Public Relations provides leadership, support and supervision for related staff. Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Donor & Public Relations works as a member of the Senior Management Team that provides leadership in several key functions.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Post Secondary Degree or Certificate in a related field (fundraising, communications, marketing, business), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in non-profit management.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is an asset.
- Knowledgeable of donor database systems management (SUMAC) and accounting practices.
- High degree of proficiency in Office 365.
- Tech savvy with knowledge of CMS web sites, fundraising e-sites, and advanced understanding of business Social Media practices.
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profit organizations.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check

**Competencies**
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with ability to work at multiple tasks, interruptions, and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Understanding of legislation related to fundraising, charitable donations, and legacy gifts.
- Advanced interpersonal, public relations, and communications skills.
- Proven success in fundraising, and public relations, maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of initiative and resourcefulness.
- Positions the agency effectively to raise revenue, uses persuasion and attract and retain donors and supporters, and volunteers.

Pay: $91,000.00-$98,501.00 per year
