**JOB PURPOSE**:
The Assistant Manager will support the general manager in the management of the entire store’s operations. The
Assistant Manager directs and manages all operations with overall responsibilities for sales, maintenance, quality, collections, shipping and receiving and all other production related activities.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Works in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Delegate day to day operations.
- Coordinate and plan shop activities to ensure production objectives are met or exceeded.
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions in response to defects.
- Oversee all purchasing activities and lead process improvements in this area.
- Provide leadership, support and training to all personnel within the department.
- Promote continuous improvement methodologies.
- Manage WCB account and claims that arise.
- Oversee all insurance company dealings.
- Assist Shop Foreman and Parts Manager in hiring staff
- Assist in budgeting and setting financial targets.
- Other duties as assigned.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES**:
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
- Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
- Normal range of hearing and vision.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:
- Experience with production, purchasing, quality, inventory control, shipping and receiving.
- Experience in the hydrovac industry preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Able to lead by example with a great attitude.
- Valid driver's license.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
