**Role and objectives**:
**This position can be located onsite in the West Kootenays onsite or hybrid/remote in the Vancouver area.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct mail, corporate sales, Internet marketing, conventions/tradeshows, workshops, advertisements, sales tools, and other initiatives.
- Analyze market trends to determine feasibility and profitability of new or existing offerings; make recommendations based on findings.
- Maximize brand value through the development of additional revenue streams and new opportunities in conjunction with Sales Team
- Ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity; conduct ongoing brand management.
- Develop and execute tactical marketing plans and programs to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization.
- Work with external consulting companies to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages, including government, local agencies, or interest groups.
- Develop marketing plans (in conjunction with Sales teams) within budget requirements.
- Prepare and deliver reports on the status of all marketing programs and initiatives to senior management.
- Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners/customers as needed for joint marketing activities.
- Assess the financial returns for special campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
- Identify and manage current and future digital/print assets/needs.
- Prepare digital/print presentations for external communications.
- Manage digital/photo assets of projects for marketing and external communications.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education: University degree in Marketing or related field required.
- 5 years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity.
- Minimum 2 years work experience in construction, architecture, engineering industry.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge with brand building and brand management.
- Experience with solid wood and/or mass timber is considered an asset.
- Highly effective project management, prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and results oriented.
- Proven team player who is both flexible and adaptable.
- Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Suite, or other creative suite skills.
- Experience in SEO strategy and implementation is considered an asset.
- Superb writing, content development and editing skills.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
