**Drafter**

Full time - approx. 40 hours/week

We are looking for a technically minded and detail oriented AutoCAD draftsperson who can be a liaison between the shop and the office.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Coordinate activities between back-of-house machine and fabrication shop and front-of-house design/PM team
- Create machine shop drawings, cutting lists and templates for CNC machine, as per the instructions of the design manager
- Assist CNC machine operator
- Assist with the creation of shop drawings and related work (submittal drawings, installation drawings, as built drawings, material lists)

**Experience, Qualifications & Skills**
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and expert ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with CNC machines (especially Emmegi machines)
- Experience working in a production setting such as an aluminum stick shop is an asset
- Experience working on commercial building projects in excess of $150,000 is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma from a college or university in a technical area of study is an asset (namely engineering, construction, architecture, industrial design or similar).
- Ability to drive or otherwise travel to job sites when needed
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu
- Exceptional written and verbal proficiency in the English language
- Exceptional ability to multitask, work well under pressure, solve difficult problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations.

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
