Anticipated Length of Employment: Part time as required.

Banquet servers are the heart of the food & beverage team here at Whitewater. Banquet staff are responsible for all set-up, take down and service of all food & beverage function, both on and off site. This position requires flexible work hours and requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Banquet Staff work directly under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager and play an integral part in the daily operations of the golf club. The Food & Beverage Supervisor, Food & Beverage Manager and General
Manager of the club provide daily supervision for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Valid Smart Serve certificate and practice responsible service.(An asset not required)
- Positive attitude with a can do approach.
- Full knowledge and adhere to Whitewater’s standards of service.
- Follow and adhere to Whitewater’s Rules and Regulations as defined in the employee handbook.
- Strong organizational skills with progressive thinking.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Self motivated and able to see the big picture of the daily operation of the club.
- Time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with difficult situations with poise and diplomacy.
- Display superior customer service skills.
- Adhere to the Policies and Procedures of the golf club.
- Become familiar with and adhere to the clubs Health & Safety requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

- Set up and take down of the banquet function.
- Greet guests and become familiar with BEO, (function menu, set -up, service time, etc)
- Serve food & beverage as required.
- Listen and respond to customer needs.
- Ensure banquet service area and function room is clean and free of clutter at all times.
- Become familiar with members, their preferences and anticipate their needs.
- Become familiar with all Club specials, promotions and special events.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any deficiencies in equipment or supplies to supervisor.
- General cleaning duties, including vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors. Emptying garbage.
- Set a strong example for other employees by being a team player.
- Report any and all complaints to management attention.
- All other duties as instructed by management.
