**Your Position**

The Lead, People and Organization is a key member of the People & Communications department and reports to the Vice President, People & Communications. As a strategic partner for the Lundbeck Canada business unit and support functions, the Lead, People and Organisation coaches and supports people leaders and employees to deliver value-added service, creating visionary HR plans that drive optimal business performance in change management, talent management, workforce planning, performance management and leadership capability, ensuring all are in line with HR polices, culture, values and the goals of the Lundbeck organization.
- Act as the lead HR business partner and internal consultant. Establish trust and credibility with leaders and act as a valuable sounding board on organizational and talent issues.
- Actively undertake coaching conversations and challenge leaders’ current thinking to get to the best decisions.
- Ensure a deep understanding of each groups’ strategy and goals and identify opportunities to enhance the groups’ capabilities and structure.
- Rigorously promote leadership aligned with Lundbeck’s vision and principles, and My Competency behaviors.
- Conduct regular business reviews with respective managers to keep updated on department’s goals attainment, alignment with business unit objectives and possible challenges.
- Proactively provide guidance and advice to managers and leaders on employee engagement.
- Influence people leaders to assess results and build comprehensive action plans. Recommends designs and facilitates implementation of solutions to ensure alignment with the client group strategic development and long term planning.
- Ensure accountability for proactive, transparent dialogue throughout the year.
- Leads and manages all human resources activities to ensure the right people are in place and prepared to meet the challenges of the business. Responsible for acquiring the best talent required in the business unit/departments;
- Support the implementation (incl. launches) of all HR programs and activities, such as recruitment, performance management and compensation, collective bargaining, employee engagement, etc
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, to maintain an engaged workforce and to retain the best talent.
- Alert to observe patterns, trends, or risks that may affect employee performance and/or relations and influence the need for action, toward development initiatives, process improvement, disciplinary actions or else.
- As a key driver of our high-performance culture, ensure managers and employees understand and actively engage in the performance management and development activities, including the annual performance cycle.
- Manage the accelerated talent program along with succession planning activities.
- Work in close collaboration with the Learning and Development Lead to support the use and training on Lundbeck’s performance management system and processes as well as identify development opportunities for employees and leaders.
- Ensure objectives and IDP’s quality, coaching managers on continuous and courageous feedback; evaluate need for training on performance principles and rating scales and deliver training or coaching accordingly.
- Organize calibration sessions and ensure alignment of performance and potential ratings across the organization.
- Work with people leaders and employees on career development planning and IDP development.
- Manage employee performance issues when arise while ensuring legal compliance, leveraging employee abilities and managing risk. Effectively investigate issues and support managers in building adequate strategies to address lack of performance.
- Support the Vice President, People & Communications in developing and/or updating compensation and benefit programs to keep Lundbeck Canada a competitive workplace.
- Liaise with managers and employees for all questions related to salary review, bonus plans, insurance, pension plan and other benefits programs.
- Manage recognition program systems and activities such as the Bravo system, the awards program, gift cards, etc.
- Collaborate in the planning and coordination of promotion cycles, helping with promotion requests and salary recommendations.

**Position Qualifications**
- Bachelors’ degree in human resources or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience as a Human Resources Business Partner with 7 years demonstrated success in HR business partnering with senior leaders.
