As an Agronomic Technical Consultant, you are at the heart of everything we do You will be responsible for building Ontario operations from the ground up in your region and will work closely with the Regional Sales Manager, Product Manager, and Business Unit Manager to drive growth. You’re someone who shares our passion for agriculture and farming the future with Ontario communities
**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, you will prepare, implement, and drive the business development plan for a region of Ontario with the objectives of maximizing on-farm presence, sales volume, customer retention, and development of partnerships with growers, ag-retailers, and/or food processors.
- You will act as an on-farm consultant providing agronomically sound solutions that provide a distinct value-add based on your assessment of each grower’s individual needs and the Timac product portfolio.
- You will initiate field demonstrations and assist in coordinating seasonal crop tours with growers.
- You will represent Timac Agro Canada at regional Agriculture shows/fairs/events.
- You will keep accurate records of information in our company’s CRM (Salesforce).
- You will assist in announcing and deploying campaigns to distributors and key accounts.
- You will drive sales in your area by understanding and explaining the merits of Timac Agro’s unique range of specialty Fertilizers, Biostimulants, and Soil Conditioners.
- You will work with Timac Agro’s Canadian and International network of stakeholders to drive innovation, best practices, and a team environment.
**Requirements**:
- At least 4 years of direct Agriculture or Sales experience; a CCA designation is a strong asset.
- An academic background in Agronomy and/or Business Administration/Commerce is an asset.
- You are a self-starter, motivated, and possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- You have exceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a highly autonomous role.
- You adapt and remain resilient in a rapidly changing industry.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Agriculture industry with knowledge of regional farming practices and animal production is a strong asset.
- Possessing an existing network of local growers and distributors is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
