Summer Support Workers

Brantford, Canada Lansdowne Children's Centre Full time

**Responsibilities**: Provide support as required to ensure that children/youth with special needs have opportunities to engage in recreational programs. This support may be provided in community camps and/or Lansdowne Recreation Programs.

**Hours**:July and August - full time days, Monday to Friday** with additional training dates in May-June (evenings/Saturday)

**Education**: Preferred - Post secondary school diploma in Human Services (ECE, DSW, CYW, Recreation/Leisure Studies, etc.).

**Experience**: Preference will be given to applicants that have experience with:

- working in recreation camps program
- children with special needs ages preschool to teens
- experience with proactive behaviour strategies

**Other**: Emergency First Aid CPR Level C is required. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of background checks, including a police vulnerable sector check, proof of immunizations, including COVID-19 vaccination.

**Start Date**: May 2023 for training, full time July 3 - September 1

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (required)

**Experience**:
