**Your Future Role**:
A Fabricator Apprentice is responsible for reading & understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request, working with mostly stainless steel. As a Fabricator Apprentice you are a key point in assisting the team, learning, and developing skills to proceed towards becoming fully licensed. It is crucial that our Fabricator Apprentice promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Layout (fitting)
- Use of brake, shear and saw
- Use of iron worker
- Welding
- Polishing/finishing welds
- Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
- Fabrication of various jobs/projects
- Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
- Knowledge of Tri-Mach Group Inc. HACCP and GMP guidelines and practices
- Read and understand schematics and blueprints
- Conduct quality control checks
- Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
- Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
- Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
- In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
- All other duties as assigned
**Requirements**:
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Previous fabrication experience considered a strong asset
- Previous experience in another trade considered an asset
- TIG welding experience considered a strong asset
- CWB tickets considered a strong asset
- You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
- You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
- You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
- You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
- You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
