**Job Description: Bartender**

As a Bartender, you are more than just a mixologist; you are a leader, innovator, and the driving force behind our bar program. You are a professional with a passion for craft cocktails and a deep understanding of beverage trends. Your creativity and expertise will not only enhance our menu but also elevate our guests' experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Restaurant Manager/F&B Director with bar setup and tear down every service.
- Accurately prepare and serve an extensive selection of beverages, adhering to dedicated recipes and upholding Sooke Harbour House standards.
- Foster friendly and professional interactions with guests, offering knowledgeable recommendations and facilitating order accurate order placement.
- Maintain the bar area's cleanliness and organization, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Swift and accurate delivery of menu items, implementing mis-en-place.
- Execute precise payment processing and handle cash transactions with accuracy.
- Collaborate seamlessly with B.O.H and F.O.H colleagues to ensure delivery of prompt and efficient service.
- Assist Restaurant Manager/F&B Director with overseeing inventory levels, promptly replenishing supplies as necessary and informing M.O.D of any upcoming shortages.
- Uphold the Sooke Harbour House’s ethos of excellence and professionalism.
- Uphold and observe all Federal, Provincial and Municipal legislation and regulations for guests with regards to healthy and safe consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time, also have the ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs.
- Create a wide range of high-quality cocktails, mocktails, and other beverages using fresh ingredients and innovative techniques, delivered with expertise.
- Ensure that all drinks are prepared with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager and Culinary Team to develop seasonal cocktail menus that complement the restaurant's cuisine and concept.
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, understanding their preferences, and making personalized drink recommendations.
- Educate guests about the ingredients and techniques used in crafting each cocktail.
- Ensure that glassware, bar tools, and garnishes are arranged and displayed elegantly
- Have an in-depth understanding of the spirits, wines, and other ingredients used in the bar program.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and emerging techniques in mixology.
- Train and mentor other bar staff on cocktail recipes, techniques, and service standards.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in mixology.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of spirits, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies.
- Work with the Restaurant Manager to place orders and maintain par levels to minimize waste and ensure availability.
- Adhere to all relevant laws
