**The Opportunity**

We are currently looking for a self-directed, engaging, empathetic Specialized Housing Program Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting to the Programs Manager, the program coordinator oversees specialized home support services and is responsible for creating a safe, supportive, non-judgmental and inclusive culture for all program participants and staff. The program, located in Langley, is a 24-hour emergency receiving home for youth between the ages of 12 to 19 who are in need of short-term stabilization.

Program coordinator oversees some of the most vulnerable and complex youth in the care of, or on a Youth Agreement with, the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in meeting youth where they’re at, recognition of the ongoing influence of trauma and disconnection on the youth served and support building on youth’s strengths and passions to create meaning. Delivery of these services must be provided with an understanding of the ongoing effects of trauma, isolation and vulnerability.

HOURS OF WORK: 5 days ON 3 days OFF rotating schedule with on call duty at 7.5 hours per day
SALARY RANGE: Grid 14 - $33.88 - $37.64 per hour
BENEFITS: Full Benefits - Extended Health, Dental, RRSP
VACATION: as per ESS policy

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for ensuring policies, procedures and required best practice standards are implemented and maintained within specialized home support services.
- Responsible for identifying and addressing program strengths, weaknesses, gaps and trends. Is able to develop a plan to address and problem solve any program needs through a variety of methods including professional education, training, resources and mentorship.
- Responsible for workforce development including orientation, training, mentorship, guidance and evaluation of all specialized home support workers. Assists Human Resources in the recruitment and selection of staff.
- Responsible for ensuring all specialized home support services are educated, trained and utilizing trauma informed practices.
- Maintains and role models healthy professional boundaries with program participants.
- Oversees and monitors the operational needs of specialized home support services including scheduling, program evaluation, and facility maintenance.
- Monitors, authorizes and allocates expenditures within the operating budget for the year and assists senior management in preparing the budget. Prepares and maintains related documentation.
- Provides leadership and is responsible for collaborative practices within program staff, participants, families, community partners, professionals and stakeholders.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Degree in a related human/social service field
- Extensive knowledge and/or experience working with trauma informed practice.
- Primary source credential verification
- 2. Training and Experience_
- Three (3) years recent related experience, including one (1) year supervisory experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
