The Opportunity
The Contract Excellence team is responsible for ensuring that TC Energy has the appropriate policies, procedures, systems, templates, training and other tools necessary to effectively and efficiently implement and manage contracts.
What you'll do- Coach, train, support and mentor stakeholders (supply chain teams, project groups, etc) on various aspects of the contract lifecycle- Lead various contract lifecycle initiatives from gap analysis through to implementation and training- Execution & optimization of Contract Quality Assurance Program- scheduled contract reviews and reporting-
- ongoing program support / training-
- Support for contract strategy alignment workshops and training-
- Drive pre/post award policy, procedures, standardization and improvement- SC governance support - ensuring contract lifecycle governance documents are fit for purpose and aligned with current best practices- Proactively identify and address systemic issues to avoid contractual value erosion- Contract Excellence Training - creation / facilitation of contracts training- Support of Ariba (sourcing and Contract Management System (CMS) and leadership of initiatives to optimize usage of the tool.- Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications- Completion of a related undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain- Experience in the entire contract lifecycle from formation to sustainment to close-out and continuous improvement- Prior experience managing construction and field service contracts- Thorough understanding of contracts, contract strategy, contract formation, contract pricing structures, terms and conditions, contract law and contract administration.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with SAP and Ariba- Ability to learn new concepts and facilitate classroom training and practical experiences and exercises.
